General Sherman evacuated the civilian population of Atlanta when it surrendered after a five week siege in 1864.  He then destroyed Atlanta by fire.  Nearly 150 years later, we watch as the city is brought to its knees by Mother Nature with ice.

The stories coming out of the area are crazy and this article from the Washington Post captures a few of them.  If the severe winter weather continues, we may recommend putting your money in the Road Salt market as a sound investment.

I think “Weather” is my official nomination for the Fifth Horseman.
